In case you haven’t seen, the Furevery Founders recently adopted another dog to add to their little family. Joining Fogo as the Chief Barketing Officer is the Branch Manager, Juno. Juno is a 5 month old Besengi/Retriever mix that was found at 4 weeks old without a momma on a reserve in Ontario. Bringing a rescue pup into the home was a little different than adopting an adult dog. For that reason, we’ve decided to round up our 6 Must-Dos when raising a rescue pup!

Dog parks are a great way for your dog to socialize and play but there are also some things to keep in mind while your there! We’ve all heard the phrase “I like dogs more than I like most people”, right? Well, Valentine’s Day is a time where you can put these words into action. We keep seeing the term ‘Galentine’s Day’ everywhere, which symbolizes spending Valentine’s day with your gal pals because we #dontneednoman. Galentine’s Day celebrations are awesome, but sometimes you want something even more low-key and intimidate. We’re introducing ‘Palentine’s Day’, a day where you celebrate the love between you and your bff four-legged pal. Sure it sounds like something we made up (and maybe we did), but doesn’t it also sound like the best Holiday EVER?
The pet market is absolutely EXPLODING right now, and we’re loving every minute of it. It is estimated that the pet industry in Canada is worth an estimated 7 Billion dollars annually. This includes what pet parents are spending on food, supplies and services for their beloved pooch. According to the Harris Poll, nearly 95% of pet parents consider their pets to be a part of the family and 71% of polled have at least one dog in their household. These pet parents, specifically the dog parents, are spending more on their dog’s than ever before. Of course it comes as no surprise that you would spoil and spend your hard-earned money on your four-legged family member.
Winter is our dog’s favourite season by far! We always joke that she gets her Summer body in the Winter time because she is so much more active and playful in the snow. The minute we open the door she runs out to stick her face in the snow and gets this playful look on her face. She could spend hours frolicking in the snow.
This is our first post of the ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ blog post series. We are going behind-the-scenes with a business in the dog industry ONCE A MONTH. So stay tuned for more posts as we get down and dirty with various businesses serving our pups
With Halloween now in our rear view mirror it is time to look forward to our next Holiday. Which just so happens to be the most wonderful time of the year… CHRISTMAS!!
Just seeing the word ‘insurance’ makes us cringe. Dealing with insurance companies can be a hassle and getting your claims paid out can be such a nuisance. No one looks forward to calling their insurance company. And if it’s not required by law, why do you need pet insurance?
Today on the blog we’re talking about 25 weird things that every dog parent does, so therefore it is not weird…
Here in Ontario, most folks know we only have two seasons - winter, and construction. But the nice thing about construction season is that it also goes by another, more exciting name: patio season! And now that the days are longer and the nights are warmer, just about everyone (and every dog) would rather be sipping something on a patio than cooped up indoors.
Corporate culture is a big selling point these days, and job candidates factor corporate culture into their career decisions. There are many of elements that factor into creating an attractive company culture; the people, the flexible working hours, the atmosphere, the leadership, the location, the social events and added perks, like dog-friendly offices!
The sun is finally starting to shine, the temperature is rising, and our dogs are begging us for summer adventures! Dog-friendly community events will be showcased in our app, so we want to give a sneak peak of the kinds of events that you can expect to see! Our soft-launch is happening next month in the KW area, but some of these events are happening THIS month, and we don’t want you to miss out!
If you don’t already know, Mother’s Day is tomorrow and we hope you’re all spending some quality time with your mommas. Here at Furevery we think Mother’s Day should also celebrate all those Furbaby Mommas out there. The ones that get up early to walk their pooches, coordinate their schedules around their dog, the ones that go for long walks in all kinds of weather, and the ones that pull out their phones to show EVERYONE how cute their dog is. Today we’re putting the spotlight on Furbaby Momma Tara and her furbaby Winston. We’re asking Tara all about motherhood.
